I first came across the name of the Amigos in connection with a job advertisement, and they immediately piqued my interest. It so happened that I had the opportunity to peer a little into their daily lives, to get to know some of them, and I must say, I was impressed by what I saw.

Even the story of the creation of the organization is touching (I had the opportunity to listen the whole story in detail at a really engaging presentation by Sára, the creator 🙂 ), but even more captivating is the attitude that pervades the entire organization, and in which the precisely planned, focused work for the sake of cause, and the simple, cheerful joie de vivre that unites the members mix in a very special way.

If we add to this the noble purpose (the Amigos visit sick children in hospitals to learn and play with them) and the inspiring ambition („There should be an Amigo next to EVERY sick child!”), thanks to which nowadays more than 200 Amigos in six cities visit the children, then maybe it becomes clear why I feel lucky to know them. 🙂

By taking part in a little of their lives, we tried to add something to their work, and I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to support the Amigos as much as possible in the realization of their mission ! 🙂
